Nancy Shue Nancy Shue Attorney At Law

Nancy is a Registered Nurse and specializes in the field of legal nursing as a Legal Nurse Consultant Certified. Nancy evaluates all of the medical information on our cases from car wrecks to medical malpractice. She also represents our clients in their pursuit of Social Security disability claims and wins many of the claims on-the-record without ever having to have the client appear at the hearing level.
Nancy has been a nurse since 1972, first as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse until 1985, when she completed her Associate Degree in Nursing and passed her Texas State Board examination to become a Registered Nurse. Nancy's nursing experience has been primarily in critical care, but she has also worked in the areas of orthopedics, urgent care, medical management, flight nursing, and immunology.
In 1989 Nancy took her first position in a law office assisting personal injury defense attorneys. At that time, there were very few nurses working in law firms and Nancy was able to help pave the way for this type of career. She later practiced with some downtown Dallas law firms assisting in medical malpractice and toxic tort law. Nancy has served on the Dallas Board of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) for many years, including as President of the Dallas Chapter in 1999.
Nancy had the honor of being one of the first 77 nurses to pass the certification exam for Legal Nurse Consulting Certified (LNCC), which is the only certification of Legal Nurse Consultants that is recognized by the American Board of Nursing Specialties and must be recertified every 5 years. There are currently only 538 LNCCs in the United States.
Nancy has been happily married for over 20 years. She has a son and a daughter and is blessed with a wonderful son-in-law and a beautiful granddaughter. Nancy is very active in her church and enjoys teaching Sunday School to four and five year olds. In July 2004 Nancy had the privilege of traveling to Paraguay with a group of doctors and other nurses on a mobile medical mission administering to the medical needs of over 4,000 patients in a 6-day period. Her goal of speaking Spanish fluently is getting much closer!
